DKC’s Newest Partner – Pagaaluck Oonsiri

We are proud to introduce DKC’s newest partner, Pagaaluck Oonsiri. Pagaaluck joined DKC right out of college in 2016 and has developed rapidly into an integral part of our firm.  We sat down with Pagaaluck in an informal interview to share a bit about her with you!

DKC: First off, congratulations on your promotion! What does it mean to you to become a partner at DKC?

Pagaaluck: Thank you so much! Becoming a partner at the firm is a dream come true and a significant milestone in my career. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful for this opportunity, especially after working so hard and dedicating myself fully to my role over the past eight years. I must also acknowledge the invaluable support I received from the other partners and my staff. Their guidance, encouragement, and belief in me were instrumental in reaching this point. This promotion is not just a personal accomplishment, but a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication of the entire team. I’m excited to continue growing with the firm and contributing to our shared success. I am overjoyed to be part of this incredible journey.

DKC: You’ve been working at DKC for eight years. What makes this a great firm to work for?

Pagaaluck: What truly makes this firm exceptional is the people who make it what it is. While the work we do is similar to what you’d find at any other firm, it’s the relationships and the sense of community we build together that really sets us apart. Beyond our professional endeavors, we also know how to have fun and foster a strong team spirit. Whether it’s playing games like Sequence and LCR at lunch, engaging in friendly competition during office Olympics with exciting prizes, or participating in team health challenges, these activities bring us closer and add an element of joy to our workday. Even casual conversations in the conference room about the latest hit TV shows or trend add to the vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. Our firm’s success is a direct result of the incredible people who work here, and it’s the shared values, respect, and camaraderie we have for one another that create such a positive atmosphere. I’m truly grateful to be part of a team where the people are as remarkable as the work we do.

DKC: How did you end up choosing tax accounting/CPA as a career and why?

Pagaaluck: I knew I loved numbers. I was that kid who was actually excited for a timed math test and pop quizzes! As I grew up, I realized that I also wanted to make a direct impact in people’s lives. I found that taxation is perfect for me because I get to work with numbers and people at the same time.

DKC: Comparing yourself from year one to year eight, how much have you changed as a tax accountant?

Pagaaluck: So much has changed! You can ask any of the other partners and they will all tell you that I was the shy staff, head down and afraid of putting myself out there. Now, I actively seek a good challenge and welcome whatever it is that life brings me. I see myself as more than just a cog in the system and I have the amazing privilege to help people every single day which brings me so much fulfillment in my life.

DKC: What’s life for you like outside of the office?

Pagaaluck: Most times, you can find me in the local dog park with my poodle-terrier Chiquis and spouse, Sol, or binge watching a show off the top ten list on Netflix. We also love traveling and make sure to go somewhere new at least once a year so definitely reach out if you have any travel recommendations!
