MARK DEVEREAUX
Managing Partner
PHILOSOPHY: “I am an entrepreneur who happens to be an accountant. Where many accountants are content to focus on their client’s history, I feel it’s just as important to understand where they are and where they want to go. Knowing that, we can establish a sound strategy to achieve our client’s best possible financial outcome.”
CREDENTIALS: Mark entered the accounting profession in 1980 shortly after graduating from California State Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1982. Mark’s specializes in strategic planning and works in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, venture capital,retail, distribution, manufacturing, ranching and agriculture,oil and gas production, and entertainment.
DAVID KUHNER
Partner
David Kuhner, one of DKC’s founding partners and an active member of the firm up to his untimely passing in September 2016, is remembered for his sage counsel, indomitable spirit, and gregarious sense of humor. He spent countless hours mentoring our staff and helping to manage the firm’s growth. Beyond his business life, David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. While our lives are richer for knowing him, we will miss him.
CYNTHIA BONAVIA

PHILOSOPHY: “Finances and taxation can be a source of stress and anxiety for many. Helping our clients gain a greater understanding of their financial picture gives them a sense of control and financial freedom. I find purpose and joy in lifting that anxiety and burden away from our clients so that they can focus on what they do best.”
CREDENTIALS: Cynthia began her accounting career in 2002. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Cynthia provides tax and consulting services to individuals and their closely held businesses, having experience with a wide range of industries.
FRANCIS CUSTODIO

PHILOSOPHY: “I empower my clients by educating them, simplifying the rules as much as possible, so that they can make informed decisions that fit their needs. I love working with my clients, seeing their businesses develop, and in many cases, watching a company grow from the ground up. My clients’ success is my success.”
CREDENTIALS: Francis started a career in public accounting after graduating from the University of San Francisco. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Francis works with individuals, trusts, closely-held business including LLC’s, partnerships, and corporations. He specializes in tax strategies, stock option planning, and representing clients before the IRS and Franchise Tax Board.
STEPHEN DEVEREAUX

PHILOSOPHY: In a field that is constantly changing, my goal is to keep our clients informed and be their advocate in achieving the tax efficiency they desire. In coordination with a client’s team of financial advisors and estate planners, I strive to provide a comprehensive level of service that takes into account all aspects of their business and personal aspirations. Through this process, I hope to give the client all the guidance they need to make an informed decision and trust that I am there to help if anything changes.
CREDENTIALS: Steve entered the profession of public accounting after graduating from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 2008. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2012. Steve provides tax planning and consulting services for individuals, closely held businesses, and trusts, with a client base that spans a wide range of industries and practices.
PAGAALUCK OONSIRI

By building a relationship and crafting personalized strategies, we can achieve tailored and optimal financial success together.”
CREDENTIALS: Pagaaluck joined the firm in 2016 after earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. In 2018, Pagaaluck received her Certified Public Accountant license. Her love for numbers and analysis helped build a strong foundation in strategic planning and ensuring meticulous compliance with tax regulations. As a graduate of the prestigious AICPA Leadership Academy, Pagaaluck is very dedicated to the public accounting industry as she strives to be proactive and stay informed of evolving tax law changes to understand the impact on her clients and to empower them with opportunity.
